Starting at Home
Starting at Home is a TV show focused on what you can do if you love this planet and your country. Whether you live in Concord, New Hampshire or Bend, Oregon, this show offers practical, fun advice for effective, simple ways to save energy and money while reducing pollution.
Purpose
The purpose of the show is to provide information about things that individuals living in our community or any community can do to reduce consumption of energy and resources as well as limit pollution. This show wants to help you save money and take care of the world we live in and share.
Partners
Project Laundry List will work with Global Action Local Awareness (GALA), and Green Concord to produce a television show at Concord TV, a community access station based in the capital city of the Granite State. We will also work with the Wolfeboro Community Access TV station. Our show will be available across the world on the web at www.startingathome.org.
Scope of Show
The show premiers in early 2011 and will be a half hour, appearing once a month.
It will be entirely produced by volunteers. Alexander Lee will be the Executive Producer, Jonathan Gregory of Real Green Goods will be a producer, along with Ken Braiterman and Karen Dandurant, two brilliant, seasoned print reporters interested in this project. Taryn Fisher and Mike Fay are our program anchors. Josh Arnold is a field contributor from Wolfeboro.
We intend to solicit music and video from willing supporters of this effort to include in the shows.
Sam Southworth is our musical director.
The shows will each spend twenty minutes delving into one major theme. The remaining ten minutes of each show will be dedicated to recurring segments.
