Clothesline Art GalleryThe clothesline image is colorful, organic, and sentimental. For so many people, laundry on the line is a beautiful thing. Project Laundry List is helping the world to see the clothesline as an important part of the human landscape. Artists capture every aspect of doing the laundry in this gallery of paintings, photography, and sculpture from around the world.
Project Laundry List and related activities
Community ProjectsProject Laundry List has spawned an interest in clotheslines through our movement. Communities all over the United States are rising to the challenge of promoting the aesthetics of line drying. National Hanging Out Day is our annual event every April 19. We collect images from National Hanging Out Day events and other community Wash Day projects.
